    At The Blue Anchor in Feering our aim is to produce dishes that are fresh, beautiful and full of flavour. The team of chefs here at The Blue Anchor strive to improve on their last creation. Our Al a carte menu changes four times a year, we are trialing a new lunchtime menu in March. Various events are planned this year including our established six-course taster evenings (usually every 10 weeks) which offer an opportunity for our chefs to express themselves and for you to enjoy something different from us.

    The Blue Anchor is a beautifuly converted 16th century coaching inn.

    The boutique five room hotel, restaurant and function suite is nestled in the village of Feering, Essex.

    Opened September 2013 after an extensive refurbishment transforming a former 16th century coaching inn into an open and more inviting space, with stylish and contemporary finishes creating a homely feel combined with a welcoming atmosphere.

     

    Feering is a lovely rural village with a small, local, friendly village feel, yet a strategic location, enabling easy travel from Colchester, Chelmsford and London.  Its ancient centre, located around All Saints Church, is listed in the doomsday book although the village has grown considerably since medieval days and now stretches from the river Blackwater at the border with Kelvedon in the south, to the A120 in the north.
